Therapy For Attachment and Relational Issues
Attachment and relational issues often point to experiences of closeness, distance, safety, trust, and emotional responsiveness across earlier and later relationships. The ways we learned to seek connection, protect ourselves, manage conflict, or make room for our needs can continue into adult relationships, though they are not fixed and may vary across romantic relationships, friendships, family relationships, work relationships, and different stages of life.
You may notice fears of abandonment, difficulty trusting others, sensitivity to rejection, emotional withdrawal, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or a tender movement between longing for closeness and needing protection. These patterns may reflect what has helped you preserve connection, manage vulnerability, or protect yourself, while also shaping the kinds of relationships that feel possible now.

How therapy can help?
In therapy, you can explore what happens within connections—what draws you closer, what prompts you to step back, and how your needs and protective responses shape the way you relate. It can also offer a steady, collaborative relationship in which familiar expectations can be explored and gently questioned.
How do I know if I need therapy?
Therapy may be helpful if relationships often feel difficult to understand, emotionally demanding, distant, uncertain, or repetitive. You might also seek support if trust, boundaries, conflict, reliance on others, stepping back, or feeling secure while remaining connected have become difficult to navigate.
My approach
I approach attachment and relational concerns by attending to both past and present experience, including what may emerge in the therapy relationship itself. Together, we explore protection, longing, trust, and new possibilities for connection.
