Therapy for Overwhelm
Overwhelm can feel like too much is happening inside, outside, or both, with too little space to breathe, think, feel, or respond. You may find it harder to organize your thoughts, make decisions, begin tasks, stay connected to your needs, or respond with the steadiness you would like. At times, emotions may feel very close to the surface; at others, you may feel distant from them or from your body.
Sometimes overwhelm arises from current demands, and sometimes earlier experiences of having to manage too much alone intensify it. This experience may be understood as a cue to slow down, create more room, and respond to your limits with care.

How do I know if I need therapy?
Therapy may be helpful if overwhelm is making daily tasks, decisions, relationships, rest, emotional steadiness, or connection with yourself more difficult. You might also seek support if it has become harder to begin, organize, settle, or respond in the way you would like, or if you need more time and care to recover after stress.
My approach
I approach overwhelm by helping you slow down and listen to what feels like too much. Our work focuses on safety, nervous system awareness, emotional understanding, and practical ways to honour your limits with greater care and self-compassion.
